EVRY1 is built on one simple belief: every person has a story worth hearing.
Every day, we pass people whose lives we know almost nothing about. We don’t know what they’ve survived, what makes them laugh, who they’ve loved or what they’ve lost. We don’t know the ridiculous decisions they’ve made, the things they’re proud of or the things they’re still figuring out.
EVRY1 exists to hear some of them.
Our vision is a world where we are more curious about the people around us, where stories aren’t reserved for celebrities, public figures or extraordinary lives, where ordinary people are given the space to be heard, and where listening to someone else’s life helps us understand one another a little better.
To create spaces where people share something true, others listen deeply, and human experiences that might otherwise remain unseen are given somewhere to live.
A great story is never more important than the person trusting us with it.
We listen to understand lives different from our own.
Stories don’t need perfect endings, polished speakers or manufactured lessons.
Giving someone our full attention is one of the simplest ways we can recognise their humanity.
The stage, and the room around it, should feel open to people from different lives, backgrounds and experiences.
Long before EVRY1, our founder Sam Sciacca discovered something he couldn’t quite explain: he loved what happened when one person walked into a room of strangers and made them feel something together.
It took him years – and an unlikely journey through teenage professional wrestling and 35 live storytelling events titles So, What’s Your Story (SWYS) to understand what he’d been searching for.
Sam Sciacca is the founder of EVRY1, leading its creative direction, live experiences and storyteller development.
Before launching EVRY1, Sam created and hosted So, What’s Your Story? Brisbane, producing 35 live storytelling events between 2015 and 2020 and working with people from vastly different backgrounds to bring their experiences to the stage.
Through EVRY1, he now works directly with storytellers to find the thread within their experiences, develop their stories and create live environments where those stories receive the attention they deserve.
His work is driven by a simple idea:
